National Highways update: A47 Honingham - emergency repairs

A47 Honingham – emergency repairs

I am writing to update you that we plan to carry out repairs on the A47 at Honingham.
With the significant rainfall we have seen over the last few months, a small section of the A47 at Honingham has flooded on more than one occasion. We will be installing tanks to reduce the risk of flooding on the A47. In preparation for this work, we'll be installing concrete bases which will require a number of days to set before we can install the tanks.

We plan to complete this work over two nights on Sunday 2 June and Sunday 9 June. We will work between 9pm and 6am, weather conditions permitting.

Closures and diversions
To carry out the work safely we will need to close the A47 at Honingham and divert traffic as detailed below:

• Eastbound traffic will be diverted to the A47 Thickthorn, A11 Barton Mills, A1065 to Swaffham.

• Westbound traffic will follow the diversion in reverse.

We'd like to apologise for any disturbance caused by our work and we will try to keep this to a minimum where possible.
